To me, there’s nothing like the liberation of being under the surface of the water — but as liberating as it is, coming back to the fresh air, the body grasping along the way up, and that moment before reaching the top. To me, quite similar to the feeling before reaching the top of a mountain. The “almost there” feeling, where one’s almost being pulled by some higher power.
